Located on a private peninsula in the exclusive Belle Haven area of Greenwich, this estate was designed in the classic New England shingle style. Working with the site’s unique topography, we incorporated a sweeping driveway with upper and lower courts and, on the rear of the property, terraces for outdoor dining and entertaining, along with a swimming pool that cascades down towards the waterfront. Clad in cedar shingles and local fieldstone, the home is inspired by the traditional old-world homes along the New England coastline. Modern technologies, from impact-resistant triple-pane windows to closed-cell spray foam insulation and a geothermal heating system, allow the house to achieve extraordinary levels of energy efficiency.
